Hasay and Wang Win 5K at Philadelphia Distance Run

Jordan Hasay of San Luis Obispo, CA was a surprise entrant in the Philadelphia Distance Run’s companion 5K race. She won in 17:32, and then changed numbers quickly and ran the half marathon. Georganne Watson of Phoenixville, PA was second in 17:35. Ersula Farrow of Philadelphia was third in 17:37. Jocelyn Chau of Philadelphia was fourth in 17:40. The top four women finished eight seconds apart.

Shaojie Wang of China was the top man in 15:18. Declan Walkush of Philadelphia was second in 15:26. Mike Horgan of Philadelphia was third in 15:43.

Shaojie Wang of China wins the 5K in 15:18.

Georganne Watson of Phoenixville, PA was second in the 5K in 17:35.

Ersula Farrow of Philadelphia (3rd, 17:37) and Georganne Watson of Phoenixville (2nd, 17:35) at the 5K awards.

Jocelyn Chau of Philadelphia was fourth in the 5K in 17:40. Maruti Kolluru of Middletown, RI was eighth in the men’s race in 17:41.

Yevgeniy Vinogradskiy of Denver, CO was sixth in 17:02.

Jerome Lowery of Philadelphia was 12th in 18:16.

Eileen Dolan of Oak Park, IL won her age group in 26:43. In Philly for work, her husband Gary Townsend entered her in the race on Friday before the race.
