Cuffe Wins Open Women 6K Club Championships

BETHLEHEM, PA, December 14, 2019—Aisling Cuffe, from Croton-On-Hudson, NY, and running for Saucony won the Open Women 6K in 20:07. Cuffe, now 26, was once a HS running prodigy, having won the 2010 Foot Locker XC national championship and representing the USA in the World XC at Punta Umbria, Spain in 2011 in the junior race.  Cuffe held off high school sensation Katelyn Tuohy, 17, of Rockland County, NY, who clocked in at 20:11. Tuohy recently chose to run collegiately at North Carolina State.

Cally Macumber of the Nomad Track Club was third in 20:15. Natosha Rogers of Hansons/Brooks Distance Project was fourth in 20:17.  Danielle Shanahan off Hoka One One/NAZ elite was fifth in 20:18.

406 women ran the Open 6K, as the rains started during the race.  The Hoka Aggie Running Club took top team honors led by Jenna Hinkle (6th), Ayla Granados (12th),  Hannah Dorman (24th), Liza Reichert (25th), and Natalie Rodriguez (27th).  Nomad TC was second, Boston Athletic Association was third, Hanson/Brooks Distance Project was fourth, and Boulder Track Club was fifth.

Katelyn Tuohy 1119 skipped Foot Locker XC to run with the big girls. Tuohy leads Aisling Cuffe 1044 and others, as they would place in the top two.
Mary Cain 2225 – good to see her back in running. Erika Kemp 734 of BAA and Melissa Dock 739 of Boulder TC share in the pack running.

Aisling Cuffe of Croton-On-Hudson, NY and Team Saucony wins the National Club XC Championhip Open Womens 6K in 20:07.
Erin Gregoire of Brooklyn Track Club takes 23rd place overall, with Hoka Aggie Track Club teammates Hannah Dorman 882 and Liza Reichert 888 taking the next two places.
Molly Grabill of the Nomad Track Club placed 36th.
Annika Sisson of Ocean State Athletic Club finishes strong in 70th. Hannah Rowe of the BAA places 72nd.
Emily Rosario of Garden State Track Club with a strong finish. Courtney Heiner of Penninsula Distance Club races in during the rainy event.
Alyssa Kennedy Dever of the F and M Track Club leads her team with a strong race in the muddy USATF Club XC womens open 6K.
Emma Rissinger of the F and M Track Club powers in ahead of Chelsie Pennello of Pacers Running and Samantha Snukis of the Nittany Valley Running Club.
