NEW YORK, NY—Mary Keitany of Kenya usually dominates the NYC races that she enters. The New York Mini 10K held June 9, 2018 was no exception. Keitany went out with a 15:52 first half, and blitzed the uphill second half in a huge negative split OF 15:08. Keitany’s winning time was 30:59. USA runners took the other podium positions, as Aliphine Tuliamuk of New Mexico was second in 32:08. Molly Huddle of Providence, RI was third in 32:25. Roberta Groner of New Jersey was the top Masters in 34:10, placing 11th and setting a new PB. Susannah Scaroni won the wheelchair race in 22:48.
