By Clay Shaw

NEW YORK, NY—Mary Keitany of Kenya usually dominates the NYC races that she enters.  The New York Mini 10K held June 9, 2018 was no exception.  Keitany went out with a 15:52 first half, and blitzed the uphill second half in a huge negative split OF 15:08.  Keitany’s winning time was 30:59.  USA runners took the other podium positions, as Aliphine Tuliamuk of New Mexico was second in 32:08.  Molly Huddle of Providence, RI was third in 32:25.  Roberta Groner of New Jersey was the top Masters in 34:10, placing 11th and setting a new PB.  Susannah Scaroni won the wheelchair race in 22:48.
