Ardanuy, Cocchiaro Win Kelly Shamrock 5K

BALTIMORE, MD, March 10, 2019—Jeremy Ardanuy of Baltimore won the Kelly Shamrock in 15:20.  Jim Heilman of Timonium was just a second back in 15:21.  Tripp Southerland of Washington DC was third in 15:29.  Ardanuy was third overall in the 2018 Baltimore Marathon.  Jason Tripp of Columbia, MD was top Master in 16:32, placing 11th among men overall.

Hannah Cocchiaro of Columbia, MD and the Howard County Striders was the women’s champ in 17:16.  Cocchario was the top Maryland woman in the storm-driven 2018 Boston Marathon in 3:01.  Mary Reiser of Baltimore placed second in 17:29.  Megan DiGregorio of White Marsh was third in 18:29.  Faye Weaver of Columbia was top Master in 20:20, good for 21st in the deep women’s field. Mostly green clad, 4575 finished the event.
