BALTIMORE, MD–Jeffrey Redfern of Washington DC took over the lead late in the race, and went on to win the 2018 Baltimore Marathon, held October 20, in a personal best of 2:30:27. Tyler Muse of Bel Air, MD who led much of the race took second in 2:35:56. Jeremy Ardanuy of Baltimore was third in 2:40:52. Julia Roman-Duval of Columbia, MD who ran her first marathon in Baltimore in 2013, returned in 2018 as an elite. Roman-Duval used her hometown marathon as a good training run to attempt the A-standard in Sacramento (she got it!). Julia won easily in 2:47:43, and was greeted at the finish line by her family. Dahlia Rohm of Baltimore ran a solid time for second in 2:58:38. At 21, Rohm looks to have a promising future. Jaclyn Schuerholz of Baltimore was third in 3:08:59.
