The 48th Bank of America Chicago Marathon features an extremely deep professional field, followed by a vast field of over fifty thousand runners. Of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, the Chicago Marathon course is known as flat and fast and has produced world and American records. It is the only USA World Major with pacemakers. The start list features 39 men with times under 2:10 and 12 women with times under 2:20.
Enjoy our preview photos, and look for our action photos after the event. On a personal note, both Karen and I have run the Chicago Marathon twice, long ago.
