10.14.23 Baltimore, MD—The Curio Wellness 5K started the Baltimore Marathon Running Festival. 2677 runners finished, and lucky for them, they beat the rain.
Jonah Koech of Colorado Springs and Matt DeHaas of Wassenaar, Netherlands came into the 5K finish together in 15:20. Koech was awarded the win. Nicholas Crouzier of Gaithersburg, MD was third in 15:24. Crouzier later was fifth in the CareFirst half-marathon in 1:12:24. James Heilman of Lutherville, MD was fourth in 15:34. Cliff Carty of Pearl River, NY was fifth in 15:38.
Susan Ejore of Baltimore, a native of Kenya, won for the second straight year in 15:56. Abbe Goldstein of Baltimore was second in 16:19. Abby Kohut-Jackson of St Louis, MO was third in 16:22. Ellie Leather of Silver Spring, MD was fourth in 16:29. Lydia Olivere of Wilmington, DE was fifth in 16:35.
Under Armour athletes dominated the Baltimore Running Festival. The Baltimore Marathon has its 11-mile turnaround at Under Armour Global Headquarters.
