NEW YORK, NY–The 115th edition of The Millrose Games went off smoothly on February 11, 2023, one of the best editions ever. Many records were set in highly competitive fields. The Millrose Games is a full-on track meet held indoors at the 168th Street Armory aka “The Armory.”
This meet includes children, high schoolers, college, open, and masters competitors.
2023 Highlights:
The High School Girls’ One Mile was won by Kate Putnam in 4:45 and the Boys’ One Mile was won by Collin Boler in 4:09.
In the Women’s One Mile, Laura Muir of the UK won in a fast 4:20:15 with Josette Andrews finishing second in 4:20:88. The Men’s Wanamaker One Mile was won by Yared Nagusse in a spectacular battle, where he finished in a new record time of 3:47. Neil Gurley was a close second in a 3:49!
The Women’s 3000m was exciting as Alicia Monson set a new Indoor American Record of 8:25.
The Men’s 3000m was won by Josh Kerr in a super-fast time of 7:33.4, followed closely by Luis Grijalva in 733.8.
