Deena Kastor ran 59:15, then stayed around to warmly greet other fast finishers like Maura Carroll of Arlington, VA. Kastor was second master.

Lead men pass the Lincoln Monument in the first mile of the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run.

Jared Ward #24 in the final 2K of the Boston Marathon. The iconic Citgo sign and Kenmore Square loom ahead. Ward had a great day with a 2:09:25 and 8th overall.

Kirk Millikan of Richmond, VA ran 3:30:44 dressed as a taco. Matt Puffer #725 of Valparaiso, IN finished 42 seconds in front of the treat.

Stanley Kebenei of USA placed 35th.

Stephanie Bruce of USA, a veteran of two World XC heads through the mud, just ahead of three USA teammates. Dolshi Tesfu of Eritrea, placed 38th, and Emily Brichacek of Australia, placed 35th.

The iconic photo of every Broad Street Run, is the one with City Hall looming behind the leaders. One of the staff used to call it “the money shot.”
