Vestri Wins USATF Women’s 6K Road Championships

7.12.25 Canton, OH—Amanda Vestri of Blowing Rock, NC and Zap Fitness, used her course knowledge to break open the 6k early in the race.  Vestri broke away around 1 mile and ran strong throughout, winning comfortably in 18:29.

Marathoners Annie Frisbie of Hopkins, MN, and Fiona O’Keeffe of Durham, NC ran together much of the race chasing Vestri.  Frisbie finished second in 18:36. O’Keeffe was right behind in third in 18:38.  Molly Born of Chapel Hill, NC was fourth in 18:41.  Ednah Kurgat of Colorado Springs, CO was fifth in 19:05.

In its fifth year, the Community 6K Run/Walk had a record 442 finishers in 2025.  Alyssa Thomas of North Royalton, OH broke the tape in 20:23.

MaKenna Thurston of Inver Grove Heights, MN was ninth in 19:46.
Sophia King of Richmond, VA was tenth in 19:58.
Savannah Roark of Syracuse, NY was eleventh in 20:01.
Kaitlyn Barthell of Boulder, CO was twelfth in 20:10.
Danielle Page of Portland, OR was thirteenth in 20:16.
Emma Russum of Kingsport, TN was fourteenth in 20:34.
Alsu Lenneman of Canton, MI was fifteenth in 21:09.

Alyssa Thomas of North Royalton, OH wins the Community 6K run/walk. The race was also for women only.
Andrea Kuhn of Pataskala, OH finishes second in the Community 6K run in 20:31. Macy McRowe of Wadsworth, OH was third in 20:39.
