Cebron and Trouteaud Win Delaware Marathon

Wilmington, DE, April 21, 2024—Shannon Cebron of Baltimore won the Delaware Marathon in 2:59:56 by exactly twelve minutes.  Cebron is an accomplished ultra runner.

Janie Augustyn, also of Baltimore, was second in 3:11:56. Rachel Lundberg of Media, PA was third in 3:17:27.  Carol Wittlieb-Weber of Media was fourth and top master in 3:17:58.

Alex Trouteaud of Barnesville, MD had the lead for much of the race and won in 2:35:21.  Trouteaud is 44 and was the overall winner and top master (for journalistic purposes).  Brandon Kintish of Northfield, NJ was charging hard in the final miles of the race and closed to within 11 seconds.  Kintish was second in 2:35:40. Joey Andrisani of Wilmington, DE was third in 2:40:41.  The first three were quite spread out, well ahead of the remaining runners in the top ten. 

462 runners finished the marathon with nearly all the states represented by at least one runner. 

775 finished the half-marathon.  Gabrielle Hahn of Brookhaven, PA won in 1:26:29.  Ryan Lee of Baltimore was the overall winner in 1:17:05.

294 ran the 10k which was won by Sally Killet of Brooklyn, NY in 40:50, and Danny Leskowicz of Philadelphia in 36:26.  There was also a 5K which drew 362 finishers.  The shorter races and the first 13.1 miles of the marathon were on the city streets of Wilmington.  The marathoners had the pleasure of running on the New Castle Trail and the Wilmington Waterfront.  The event was organized and directed by Corrigan Sports Enterprises.

Brandon Kintish of Northfield, NJ was charging hard in an effort to catch the leader. Kintish finished second in 2:35:21, just 11 seconds behind.
Alex Trouteaud was first overall and first master. The 44-year-old Trouteaud won the Delaware Marathon in 2:35:21.
Carolyn Hoover is “Ms. Delaware” for the running of the 2024 Delaware Marathon.
