It Rained and It Rained at the
3rd Annual Victory Run 8.1-Mile Race

HARVEY'S LAKE, PA--Matt Rosetti and Heidi Wolfsberger were the top runners in the 3rd annual Victory Run 8.1-Mile race around Harvey's Lake in northern Pennsylvania on Saturday, June 23. Rosetti, 26, now living in New York City, finished in 43:20 and Wolfsberger, 21, of Moosic, crossed the line in 48:53. Her time set a record, breaking Kristy Johnston's time of 49:13 set in 1999. Even with the inclement weather, 231 showed up the morning of the race to register.

Rounding out the top five for the men were second place finisher Dan Dragwa, 33, from Carbondale, in 44:23, Steve Camissa, 33, from Vestal, NY, in 46:29, Kip Hoffman, 25, of Watsontown, in 46:38, and in fifth Jeff McCabe, 17, of Exeter, with a time of 46:49.

Placing second for the women was Michelle Wolyniec, 22, from Plains, in 49:28. Michelle was last year's winner. In third was Amy Aston Rome, 34, from Dallas, PA, in 51:15. Next was Wendy Patton, 33, from Swoyersville, in 52:57, and fifth was Wendy Tedesco, 29, of West Wyoming, in 53:07.

The top Masters were Bob Pulz, 42, from Vestal, NY, in 46:56 and Ann Sick, 42, from Millville, with a time of 54:34.

The men's record is still held by Coulby Dunn, from Greentown, PA, with a time of 41:21.

Major sponsors of the race were Grotto Pizza, Bartikowsky Jewelers, and Great Northern Press of Wilkes-Barre.
