GRANTVILLE, PA--Bryan Morseman of Addison, NY easily won the inaugural Movie Madness Half-Marathon, held September 20, in 1:10:38. Matt Wagoner of New Cumberland was 2nd in 1:12:22, and Patrick Hayburn of Havertown, PA was third in 1:13:52. Greg Cauller of York, PA was first Masters in 1:22:55 and fourth overall. A course monitor missed telling 7th place finisher Matthew Herr (1:27:42) at the final turnaround, Herr ran nearly 15 miles and was running a solid fourth.

Amy Falk of Hummelstown 41, won by over 10 minutes, in 1:27:08. New Cumberland gals Gredda Scheffler (1:37::20), and Lauren Vowler (1:38:00) rounded out the podium.

Amy Hilty, 27, of Norfolk, VA. was the costumed Oscar winner, while there were two Dorothy's in the race. Amy carried a basket with Toto for the entire half-marathon. David Zeiders of York ran 1:55:05 in a Spiderman suit. We couldn't find him at the awards, but he deserves kudos for running the half in that costume. Runaway Brides, Bat Girls, Robins, and Wedded couples rounded out the movie themes. 140 runners completed the event, that hopes to use the planned course in 2013, as construction caused some last-minute changes. A look at the complete results will note that Masters runners (40+) had significant performances in the men's and women's Top 10.
